Oz's october Maxima = Teana

Wheels magazine has announced this month that Australias next model to be released in October will be a straight swap of the Japanese Teana re-badged as our Nissan Maxima. No surprises there.

No official word on whether we'll see the base 3l and 3.5l Skylines released yet but the vibe from Nissan Australia isn't positive. No Pulsar SSS or S15 Silvia replacement planned yet. So, apart from the Z theres still very little to get excited about at Nissan dealerships. Thats no surprise to Aussies either.

Its funny, b/c the prospects are finally looking better here in the states. The Infiniti G35 sedan/coupe (rebaged Jap skyline) are making a BIG hit over here. And the prospect of some kind of high performance g35 (skyline GT-R) is a real possiblity.
