NissanUSA is up and running

Nissan updated their website. The '04 Maxima is up now with all the bells and whistles.

More pictures, "design-your-own", and specs are up. I hate to say it, but the more I see... the more I likeee!!

Damn Nissan resale value!
(Although if I were to trade my '02 Max, I would probably go with a G35... but now- I dunno)

The black looks freakin awesome!

The only thing is that when I went to design my own 04 Maxima, there is no black exterior available there... Maybe they haven't yet added it to the site...

But then when the production ones come out, there will be a million inches of wheel gap...

Well I took a quick look at the Design your own and I am not impressed. I don't like how they set their "package" deals up. I want elite package, but I can't get the spoiler. I can't get the LSD with the Elite Package. The Elite Package makes the car a hell of a lot sportier, but you can't get the LSD with the package? That really blows.

I can't stand how Nissan's option packages work. To get certain options you really want, you have to get ones you don't want.

I agree Nissan is back to its old ways with these very difficult packages. They make this car very hard to option it out just right, alot of us arent interested in alot of the stuff some packages and is on others but you cant. Its going to be hard to option it out the way you want it without spending lots of unwanted money!

When I went to the site and saw the pic of the black one I began to think differently, too! The black looks great!! They need to ditch the orange and show the black...now that begins to look like a Maxima!

I am eating crow here...this car is growing on me. I don't think a car should have to grow on you, but the 5th gen had to, as well. This max is just SOOOO different and was so not what I expected. But I'm really liking the black one...and I've also said I'd never own a black car again...but this one, wow. When I'm ready for a new car in a couple years, I just might shop Maxima again after all!!!

Hi all..

How about you guys worried about the special packages just special order one? Does Nissan force you to still get certain packages when special ordering a new Max? If not, couldn't you just pick and choose the options you want and get the car "custom taylored" to your liking?

Can anyone verify if special ordering a Max would allow specific options to be chosen without getting involved in the options packages?

Thanks,
Nick

Have you ever ordered a Nissan before? It's their way or the highway man...
