Went by local dealer on lunch break 5 min ago and they had one dark red (merlot??) SL. My initial response isnt as enthusiastic as some have been. I have had mixed feelings on the looks from the pics and still have mixed feelings after seeing and sitting in it.....no i didnt drive it yet. First, some of the interior materials seem cheaper than the 5th gen.. which was a big fear of mine. Mainly the dash....looks kinda like the awful looking Altima's, not quite as bad but not as nice as the 5th gen... doesnt have that nice leather look. Speaking of the leather, it seemed maybe cheaper looking than the 5th gen, but difficult for me to say seeing i have cloth in my 2K2. Soem features were cool like the electric tilt/telescope wheel and the wheel itself is nicer...of course i like the dual exhaust. guess i will have to wait and test drive a 6 speed SE, salesman said they would start rolling in next month. The salesman said " I like it looks like an altima to me.." i just looked at him. The salesman also said Nissan rep said this morning that the Max will get a v8 in 06....but who knows...This MAX stickered at 30K had the preferred package. So the jury is still out as far as im concerned..
