NJ Maxima Impression and Pics Soon
Hi,
I took pics of an SE and SL Maxima(in the showroom) in Flemington,NJ. I got to test drive the SE with 5 speed autostick (I was the first actually since they had to take off the wrappings off the seats, put the wheel emblems on, etc). So this was literally brand new. I agree with most people that the car looks better in person. I think with a 03 type spoiler it would be an awesome looking car. The interior was beautiful and the seats were comfortable. I also agree with some that the materials are not top notch, but they are still better than the altima(however this is not a luxury car so I wasn't expecting perfection). It drove extremely smooth and fast(quick?). I drove it on a highway as well as a back road to get a feel for it. The autostick is much better than the ones in Acuras and Chryslers as it was really responsive (not like the others where it seems like an illusion and the computer is really shifting for you). This sucker was a rocket off the line too. I didn't need to floor it either to get it up to speed. The body leans a little bit, but hey its not a Z. The brakes were exceptional (though it is a new car). The steering wheel and controls take awhile to get used to. The orange on black isn't really that bad (kinda looks like that style from KITT in Knight Rider
). There was ample room all around (I sat in every seat).
I have a ton of pictures, I just need to post them in a bit. When i do I will post the link. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask (even so I only test drove it, but I got a lot out of it since I am a very thorough person, ex: I even checked out the floormats and the cupholders
).
