POLL.. New Show Car

ok, i need your input.

I am putting together a show and go 2004 maxima SE with ALL options , Elite, Nav, our new breaks, intake, grille, springs, exhaust, ect. for the spring/Summer show circut.

I have decided on Radiant Ember for Color Outside, now your help

Which would you rather see at import shows, Burnt orange leather or Black. Automatice or Six Speed.

Your Vote will decide the car.

So vote like this...

Burnt Orange/Six Speed
Black/Auto. you get the idea.

PS i thought their was a way to host a poll on the forum..

Burnt orange\auto.

There are more auto customers than 6spd customers out there but on the forums it's probably the opposite.

Burnt Orange/Auto

while I think most ppl on here are 6spd crazed, most ppl out there are auto buyers, so an auto I think would have more overall success

True, but in the import world/import show circut, would you still respect me if it were an AUTO??

Well, I guess if you're going to do import shows, then manual would be the way to go

Change mine for: Burnt Orange/6spd

Does the BMW 7 series come with a standard transmission? Nope, and look at the mad respect it gets in the world (performance/show wise). Same with the Mercedes Benz SLK 32 AMG...it's an auto, but hits 0-60 in 4.5 or less seconds and can easily approach 180 MPH (if it weren't governed). I've seen plenty of them at shows and they do quite well...

Their not Available in Manual tranny. If they were which one would you see more offten at shows...

540i or 540ia, CL type S auto stick or six speed, i see your point.

I need to think about the milage, it will be a demo afterall, and sold to the public with 5000 miles on it plus all the goodies.

Not convinced about the orange leather, but should be cooler in the summer then the black.

Thank you. Thank you so much.

It honestly depends where you're going with the car... is it going to have lots of stickers, crazy paint, etc? If it's going to be at all loud on the exterior go with the burnt orange to match. On the other hand if you're going for something like Japanese VIP style, very classy, stick with the black. I vote for the 6-speed also just because I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't imagine that a car like that would come with a stick.

C'mon. You cant compare the max with a 7 series. Its not even the same parking lot of the same ballpark. Anyway, why not a black 6spd. Is it not offered?

Oh and you know why Weasel made grille. Cause thats the only thing wrong with the stock '04 maxima.

Vote's DONE

Well i had a few days of thinking. and for many reasons we have decided to go with the Ember/Black Leather Combo in an ...... AUTO..

I can not justify taking a six speed out of inventory this early in the year for my own fun . They will be sold to customers.. mabey at the end of the spring into the summer i'll supprise you all with a six speed show car.

We are going to be focused on Mods for the Maxima ASAP...

GRILLE FIRST...

Anyone, i mean anyone developing Mods for the 04 maxima, contact me ASAP..

More info and a new section to the Smithtown Nissan Website.

Thanks for your input... look for the Car atan East Coast Show near you...

Yeah but 04 SE Auto's have posted quicker 1/4 times than the 6 - lol

Even though I have a Onyx, I like the Burnt Orange look for a show - so I'd go with that.

Yep.....I love it myself....but not feeling the flames either. Love the interior though. Just had to post it. Wonder who bought it. That looks like a show car to me, like the flames or hate them. I love the rims though.

Yeah, I vote burnt orange/6spd. If you are going to use it as a show car, I think that the burnt orange interior will stand out more. The black might not draw as much attention...as for the 6 spd...well that speaks for itself!

Jiu - Dude wasn't talking about performance. 1/4 times mean nothing when it comes to shows. I was hoping the flames were photoshoped on as a joke.

I love this interior as well but the seats are custom. unless you're going to do custom 2-tone interior like that i vote black to contrast the exteior. i have the burnt orange interior and the seats are all one color. while it stands out on my black max i don't think it'd have the same effect on an ember max.
