Good choice and I don't think the Maxima looking like an Altima is a bad thing. Once the Altima gets the tooth grill and new wheels I think the Altima will look like the Maxima. Anyways enjoy your car!

Yeah springs will make the car look even better.
I saw one driving on the highway the other day and damn it looked good. Very solid and agressive.

just to let yall kno, the rear springs are separated from the shocks, just like BMW's and BENZ, but the front suspension is like the 5th gens. This is one suspension i think i would not want to mess with, like i did with my 2000 and 2001 5th gens. The rear is independent suspension and very agressive. So far i got no body roll. i have to say this car was well built compare to the older ones... oh and the ride puts passengers to sleep...so smooth .

i have to research if a FSTB is available for it yet. If anyone know, please reply or shoot me an email @ deven04@optonline.net

Nice Silver 6 speed SE, with the new BOSE. damn, just hand me the keys . . RIGHT NOW! I've actually seen my very 1st 6th gen in real life last week. Silver, just like yours. They really do look a whole lot better in person. Something gets lost in the translation from 3D real life to 2D pictures.

well i'm not sure about the differences with the 2k2-2k3 exhaust note, but my 2001 Se 5 speed had a way way better tone and was louder and sweet..

this 2004 max has a very quite note and you really gotta press on the gas hard to really hear it, maybe a k & n drop in filter may make a difference......

You're saying that you'll keep the stock suspension intact for a while and then upgrade right? I can only imagine the different products that might be available in the up and coming future. Products that could only improve the handling performance of the car, especially in the front. I have driven an 04 and was very excited about possible performance mods, although the car wasn't mine. I guess i am hard up for a fully modded 04. Can you blame me?

yeah i will keep my stock suspension. so far this car handles like it's already hooked up. the rear is solid with the independent suspension and all i need for the front is a FSTB.. i was pushing it today on some turns and it handled very well for a stock.

sweet, well i hope that in the near to distant future when you stock suff begins to wear out, you will replace with stiffer stuff. I mean c'mon, someone has to do it.

the 245/45/18's ride a little rough on bumpy roads, so lowering this car will increase the harshness..the car look sweet from side view like if it's already dropped. just take a good look when one is moving on the highway..you will see what i'm talking about....there is just a small fender gap and the 18" is in line with the fender, compare to the 2000-2003's.
