Gear selection question

Gear selection question
My 2000 GLE shows the current gear selection on the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tach. I like this feature because I don't have to look downward to confirm the selection while driving, like when I'm going in and out of overdrive. Is there a similar feature on the 2K4 for automatics?

Yes, gear shift selector position is displayed on the bottom of the center speedo pod.

hmmmm, is that on both the SE 5-Speed Shiftable Auto and the SL 4-Speed Auto? or just the SE?

that's where it is on the SE 5speed w/ manual shift. don't know about the SL.
