Bose Stero Question

I have a Bose Stereo with the 6 CD changer and 320 watts in my '04. Does anyone know what the SSV does when you adjust the audio? It has settings for high, low etc. but it does not seem to make a difference in sound no matter what setting it is on. Also, the radio seems to lack highs, and the treble is all the way up. Kind of dissapointed as I had a Delco in my '01 Olds Aurora that blew this away. Oh well..

Speed Sensitive Volume-The volume increases/decreases as engine/road/wind noise increases/decreases. The settings are for how sensitive you want it to be.

Just a further clarification for Yama1yzf... The difference or sensitivity between low/medium/high affects the broadness of range between low speed volume to high speed volume.

Heck, I had that on my 85 Maxima. Didn't do much for me. If you went over railroad tracks or speed warning bumps, it turned way up and blew you out of the car. I left it off. Be curious to see how 18 years of technology makes a diference. Will know by tommorrow when I pick up the 04.

I've heard many factory Bose systems, and I've found this is unquestionably the best I've heard. I've got the Mark Levinson system on my Lexus ES300, and this Bose system actually sounds as good if not better. I was never a big fan of Bose, but this system has changed my mind.

You aren't going to go deaf listening to it, but I don't hear a bit of distortion and I can feel the bass and hear the mids.

Absolutely. Not concert hall volume, but true, rich, well balanced sound. Very impressive.

The Bose systems in the 3rd and 4th gens were good. Nissan skimped on the 5th gen for some reason Can't wait to hear this new 6th gen version.
