LOL

Thanks for the pics. I can't help but think that the antenna was an afterthought. It looks like it was added aftermarket

Yeah, really not something I'd be "proud" to have. It does look like an afterthought.

Sirius Antenna looks exactly the same. Just has a different logo. I can't see why you can't use a more cosmetically appealing aftermarket antenna.

I installed Sirius in my 2002 and I did not want that antenna on top of my car. I actually put the antenna on the rear deck inside the car. They tell you that you should have it outside the car but I have not had too many dropouts.

The back window on the 2004 is much larger than mine is. I would not think that you would have a problem with mounting the antenna on the rear deck.

According to the brochure, both XM and Sirius will be available. IMO, I would not pay that kind of money to the dealer to install it. I installed it myself and the only thing that is visible is the antenna on the rear deck.

Disappointing....

Wow!! Certainly does NOT have a factory installed look!

Looks like the same darn antenna used for aftermarket installation. I hoped the factory install would be car color with no visible wire entering the rear window.

If that's truly the factory antenna, its a big disappointment.

This works until you get the windows tinted. The metal in the tint kills the signal.

That is true. If I do decide to tint, then I will move it to it's proper location. At least it won't look too bad because it will match my car color.
