Problem with my 04 Maxima SL

Hey Eveybody,

I need some help. I play hiphop in my car and it sounds like my sub in the back has already busted. It makes a terrible ratting noise even at low volumes, I guess I need to replace them with some higher quality speakers, does anyone have the specs of how to get to them, the speaker through the truck, or where I can get them from? I want to do it my self, I am more then capable and I dont wont to pay smelly, high priced Bestbuy people to install them for me, any help would be good thanks.

And by the way, my car is the red sl in this post: Click here

I have the same problem.I think it is the shelf that rattles and not the woofer.

bring it back and have them fix it. I wouldn't go replacing the speakers just yet

Your car isn't even two months old....
Take it back to the dealer and let them handle it.
I wouldn't tell them about the high volume listening levels though.

That seems like a good idea, I think I will do that, do you think they will fix it for free?

Yep. It's called a warranty. Looks like we may have a candidate for the first TSB.
