Test drove the 6-spd HLSD 2k4....
I can't say that it was any quicker than the 2k3 .. it was more stable around rougher roads and around corners ... but it was definitely noticeable about how much bigger and heavier it was. The shifter was much nicer in my opinion. The throws seemed just about the same, but not as much notchiness ... clutch = identical.
Don't like the way it looks though .. very Ford Taurus like up front .. and rear end = fat/bloated..

I don't think it will be any quicker than 2002-2003 Max, but it will ride better I think. No more stupid Beam in the back.
