i think that this "MAXIMA"(if u wanna call it that) has runied the whole maxima name, put a shame to our beloved cars. i have ran the idea through my head a million times and cant come 2 the understanding y nissan would come out with a car like this ???? is there any others out there that would agree with me ???

had they reduced the horsepower/torque & made it 2 doors, then I think I'd agree with you... what is it about the 2k4 that you think strays from the image? I personally like it =)

Actually, I really do like the 04 Max. this being my 4th Max in a row, all bought new, I find this to be a natural extention of the line of fine autmobiles. Its stylish, quick, comfortable and affordable. What would U ask of a car??

Troll, troll, troll

A response would not be worth the time. The obvious misspelling of "ruined" equals troll. So as to hijack this thread, I should say that I have owned three Max's now, and this one, by far more than the other two, has generated the most favorable "Wow" comments.

Maybe you fail to like it because it's obvious that you are stuck with that old '97 model..by the way close the hood, yuk!!

Yes, it is just you. No, it hasn't ruined the nameplate. No, no one agrees with you.

It's so big now, It should be a Maxima Armada or something. Its bigger than an Avalon. I don't think it ruined the Maxima name totally but it really has not pleased the Maxima faithful. Maybe cause it's built in America now?

I mean, at one point or another, everyone kinda wanted a Maxima but I don't see that anymore. Maybe it costs to much now? I dunno.

But it's not like the Maxima has gotten any favorable reviews damn near the last 10 years. The last Maxima to win any comparo in any magazine was the 89-94 model.

But to each their own, I am sure it will find a nice niche for Nissan. Obviously Nissan feels the car will sell well or they would not have made it.

The Maxima is selling well so there are enough people by Nissans standards that like the 6th gen Maxima! Anyways I hope nissan adds awd as an option by the 2006 model year.
