You'll have to convert the spedo to MPH from KPH probably. As well as meet any other regulations that the US has that Canada doesn't.

I hear that you can however save a whole wack of cash doing this. Its just a pain in the butt.

You'll probably also have to pay a tariff for importing the car. You should really look into that since it might bring the cost back up to what you would pay in the US if not more.

The standard warranty 3yr/36k and powertrain warranty 5yr/60k MAY NOT be honored when you bring it back from Canada to the States.

Examples:
(1) The warranty may not carry over to NissanUSA, but you may transfer your VIN number to the NissanUSA service computers (which your dealer checks when in for service). You need a copy of your sales agreement and a copy of your registration available for faxing, then contact Nissan Customer Affairs at 1-800-NISSAN1.

(2) It is not guaranteed to transfer, but has to go through some committee. It falls under their "good will" policy (or whatever they call those extra funds they give shops to do free non-warranty work).

I think the extra headaches will be more than the cost savings.
