Cheap Lease

Local dealer advertised 48 month lease 04 SE at 259 month with 1K down. Surprised such cheap leases being pushed on such a new model? ( Im sure it is a base SE)

Probably some ridiculously low mileage restriction. That is about $14K for a four year rental, a good price if you can get it and you want it... The 259 is probably before all the hidden BS fees and all the other crap they can add onto it.

Have you thought that it might be a repaired hail damaged car? If it is I wouldn't touch it at all.

No it isnt a hail damaged vehicle......the same dealer has seperate ad running for such vehicles.......7K off MSRP. I'm not interested in it.........just an FYI.......no leasing for me.

Any way you look at it there is something very fishy going on. The reason I say this is that if a dealer took out all its profit on a 30K Max the payment would be over 400 per month.--that's for someone with good credit!

These dealers will advertise a price that is possible in theory, but not really. That is the price if you are a recent college grad, current or retired military, current Nissan owner, etc

I called a dealer once about an Expedition that they had for $20K, and the guy I spoke to said there was no way to get it for that, it included a recent high school graduation discount and a senior citizen discount, among all the other possibly deductions

I just read an ad for a Nissan dealer that is advertising an 04 Max SE, base model for 60 months at $259 with $3995 down and you have to be a recent college grad.

That deal sucks compared to the one I originally posted........the ad I saw was only 1000 down and only 48 months......not sure about restrictions......the ad didnt say anything about recent college grad, etc...

I am not sure if they have to where you are, but they passed a law in AZ that requires them to list every restriction, they don't have to do that everywhere.

When something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

That law needs to be country wide...

I hope it really wasn't that cheap...$259/mo....or I got ROBBED! That's probably with 10K miles/year and no options. Too good to be true. I think everyone on my block would be driving one at that price. I see Saturns go for more than that.

Go to nissanusa.com and find a reasonable lease price. You might get one for $30-$40 less /month. That's the only way to be real about it.

Have you seen the new Chrysler commercials. They advertise a low price for a Jeep Liberty or something and it's the "employee" price.

Thats just plain rude. When you advertise to the public it needs to be a price that the public can get it at.

Maybe the same thing is going on in the fine print with the Max.

Arizona has some great laws about them disclosing all the crap in their advertised lease deals. I heard $249/month for a 350Z the other day on the radio... probably $5K down.
