if i were to hook up a system to my radio, subs and an amp, would it still automatically lower itself when the guide voice comes on? i dont want my girl to be talkin with the bass kickin in the background.

 

Logic would say that since your girl is lowering the volume to all speakers in the car when she talks, the signal to the sub would be reduced by the same proportion if you are tapping into the speaker lines for signal. I'm installing a 12" Polk Momo this weekend so I'll let you know how my girl likes it when she's trying to talk.

 

Let me know how everything works out. I'm planning on probably two 12" Comp VR's or maybe JL 12W6's or something like that. Please leave info on everything I need to know about any possible problems

The Navi girl sounds great just as I predicted. When she lowers the volume, the sub will follow suit if you follow my recipe!

 

How much did you spend and do you think that it still sounds good with the factory speakers in the car? I also want to go ahead and add a dvd player to the factory nav system I just dont want mess andything up. I amd thinking about following you recipe as show in the link above. A little extra bass always makes things better.
