got bored so i decided to tinker arou d an made an intake for the 04 max. used 3"exhaust pipe with about a 10-15 degree bend courtesy of monroe shocks and exhaust then went to an import tuner shop and got two couplings and a maf adapter. and peiced it together the guy at the shop was great he welded a fiting for the hose to the pipe so it looks good. at first it seemed like the power really dropped of after 4500 rpm but now after a couple hours it has definatly improved. and it sounds awesome. i just need to polish it up and im set.

 

good to see someone inventing already. By the time i get mine hopefully you guys will have created the aftermarket!!!

YES! we need pics ASAP! so did you gain anything or was this all sound?

 

i think it actually took a couple days for the intake and engine to properly adjust to one another but i did definatly gain. when i first hooked it up it idled low between 300-500 rpm and was running rich but that has i believe worked it self out and i can tell a difference even with a passenger...
