About VDC

I recently purchased new SE with VDC. But I couldn't feel any difference. I can still scratch my front tires with VDC on.
Is it normal?

The way it was told to me by the dealer is that VDC will assist you in some driving issues. Like if your going into a off ramp to fast it will detect that and apply the brake to slow you to the proper speed.

Are you referring to the tires squealing or screeching during cornering?

Did you think that VDC would stop the tires from making noise at all? If it did, that would mean the system would be working very aggressively, and completely hampering the performance of the car.

VDC is designed to only engage in emergency situations, yet not impact the day-to-day handling of the car. With that in mind, if you were to feel the VDC engaging on a regular basis, that would mean you were driving very recklessly.

VDC is like ABS -- not something you should rely on to save your a-s-s. Sophisticated safety features aren't a license to drive crazy. You need to plan ahead in your driving, so that YOU are always the one in control.

VDC

The VDC system will not kick in unless you start to get sideways. I personally like to hear my tires squeal or screech.

If it is too loud then you are too old!
