Will origional struts last on aftermarket springs?

i read somewhere in the 5th gen section that having aftermarket springs on origional struts would ruin the shocks in no time. is this true? or can i go slap some eibachs on my 04? can someone please help me out?

Then get the complete set (Springs & Struts), if they are available. Your standard struts is not made to handle shorter/lowered springs.

It depends, i'm not sure if Nissan still uses Toks for OEM's on the 04, but if they do (at least on the SE) then you may be able to get away with a rather tame drop by H&R and/or Maxspeed (provided they have one for the 04).

From what i've seen, only Eibach has one out right now and that drop is a bit too low for the OEM's to handle on a long-term basis.

If i were you, save the hassle and money - do it right the first time. (e.g. swap out the springs and struts together)

don't want to be ghetto, but if they don't sell the struts, then you gotta bite the bullet and get charged for labor twice.
