new best 1/4 mile time for bone stock 04 max se auto at englishtown nj racewaypa

ok yesturday i went to englishtown raceway in nj... there was a guy there that had a 04 max 6spd, he didnt have the car with him he had a white buick skylark conv. very nice by the way.. he saw me run he says he goes on here all the time... i did 4 runs my best being 14.644 at 94.56 mph.... heres how it went 60ft 2.183---330ft 6.159----1/8 mile 9.433 at 74.84 and the 1/4 mile of 14.644 at 94.56 mph.. this is for a bone stock 04 max se with elite pachage 5spd automatic.. i will try to post slips but there is a guy on this forum that saw me run these times, i forgot his name im sorry, but if i cant scan the slip he can let everyone know that i did do this, i was honeslty shocked i ran this... 1st run was a 14.8 with 2.2 something 60ft.. 2nd run was my 14.644 3rd run was another 14.8 with a 2.2 something 60ft... and my fourth run was a 14.699 with a 2.2 60ft... my launch isnt down pat yet but i know my 2.1 60ft could be alittle lower not much but i think i can get a 14.59 with a perfect launch... i get the rpms up to about 2400 rpms light turns green get off the brake car jumps foward ease on the gas, and than slam on it... this worked awesome for me.... so far i think i have the best 1/4 mile time on here so far... my best trap yesturday was 95.3 mph... let me know what u guys think. so as far as i can tell the 04 is just has fast if not maybe aliitle better up top than the 02 and 03 maximas... thank god...

great times. Your 60' is a great indication of your driving.

Edit..you have the same MPH as the 02-03 guys. Again, nice times!

Nice times! Are you leaving it in D or manually shifting through the gate?

Nice times, do us all a favor and get those scanned so we don't have to listen to all the nay sayers.

Yep, always naysayers... Just read in another post where someone said something about a stock 04 claiming a 14.5 or 14.6. Do us a favor and prove 'em wrong. If you can't get them scanned, just give me another 3-4 weeks. I'll have one that I can scan in. Maybe this intake will get me to 14.5 or lower

that 14.5 claim to me anyway is not true, he didnt post anything except he ran a 14.5. i do think its possible since i ran a 14.6.. but its not easy to get a 14.6 i took me a few runs and alot of practice on the street to figure a good way to launch with little to no wheel spin.. best 60ft was with not an ounce of wheel spin, that was the 2.1. if u get the scanner ill post my slips no prob.. im 26 years old i have no reason to lie at all. im just happy i ran these times.. and am king of the 04 maxima's so far lol.... jk the best run right now behind me is a 6spd at 14.8 something..

Awesome RUNS ! I had read a few post with other 6th gen owners bringing in low 15's and this is a serious slice into that .. its awesome to know that the maxima is making a better name for itself. I know that when i get to the track I have guys cutting in front and asking can they race who im lined up with and I say sure. Many times my maxima is faster than other cars (example: like the guy in the acura rsx type s that was running mid 15's) I let him pass, but i would have loved to spank his tail good all the way down the track !! lol ..Just not getting any respect in grannies 4th gen max over here ! ha ha !

anyways .. great time ..you are driving the mess out of that 6th gen !!

Hey, I'm the guy that witnessed these runs on Sunday. I was truley impressed with the runs, I also infact have pictures of one of the runs. The max was beautiful in black, makes me wish I had an elite package myself. But regardless the 14.6 run is legit!.. I'll be back at e-town tommorow running my skylark this time.

$100 is way to much for test n tune if you ask me. But I'm glad I got to see the max.

Hey man, how did that Acura do?

Hey. The cut healed up, just freaked me out. Didnt even know I sliced myself untill I looked down and saw all the blood. Shoot me a PM if you are coming back down to E-town with your Max, I'll bring my 6-speed and see if I can beat ya.

Nice times! Pushing the limit!

Definitely get the slips scanned and please post in the 1/4 mile forum. There are always naysayers. The slips make it real and then nobody will question it anymore.

If you can drive that thing well you shouldnt have a problem beating that auto.

Nice runs.

I'm confused though, is this your car or your father's? Maybe I'm getting things confused, but I thought you had a Spec-V and the Max was your father's. The reason I ask is because your father is nuts to let someone else race his car at the track all the time. Or does he not know

actualy yes it is my fathers car i do have the specv... ive ran the car three seperate times, and thats gonna be it.. i told him the car was inthe 14s, he said get it there... first time out i didnt, second time i did. but it wasnt consistant.. 3rd time out, i had 4 runs and 4 14 second time slips.. two 14.6s and two 14.8s hes happy with that, so the car wont see the track again.. i only took my car to the track once this year in march, so my car might see one more time.. im shooting with that for a 15.2 alls it has is intake.. previous best is a 15.4 with a horrible 2.4 60ft

Now it's time to see what the old man can pull off

As for your Spec-V, it sounds like your driving has improved. I wouldn't be surprised if you hit 15.0s with just an intake. There is a guy at my track with a Spec V and CAI and his best is a 15.2@90mph with a high 2.2 60'. Seeing that we're at 1100' where as E-town is actually -2', you should be quicker than him. Good luck.

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Congrats and thanks for posting up the slip. That is one impressive time. I'm thinking more and more that the new Max really has probably 280hp/270tq just like the Z/G35 engines.
