I regret not getting the Nav in my wife's Quest...she's one that could really use it!
Agree with what Blaxima said. Nice to have but definitely not a necessity. Not sure if everyone would agree with this statement, but I have found it to be true. I compare the navigation to a Palm Pilot. My life was perfectly fine before I got a Palm Pilot. But now that I have one, I cannot imagine living without it. Same goes with the Navigation System. Life was fine before hand, but it definitely has gotten me out of some jams (Minus the time when I got lost, plugged in Home as my destination, and it ran me right through the ghetto. thought my car was going to get ganked. good thing I had my Goodie Mob CD!) If you have the cash, or even if you don't, I would recommend getting the Nav.
LOL, mine took me through the Ghetto too.
It's definately cool and useful, but it adds like 2000 bucks to the price of the car. When you think of it that way, it may not be worth it to you. I like to tinker with gadgets, so of course I had to get it.

It's totally worth it! Don't sweat over the measily $2000. Over 5 years that's only $1.09 a day (plus whatever you pay in interest of course.) Hell, you can't even get a large Coke at McDonalds these days for that! The high quality screen alone is worth the cost.
I too bought the Nav screen option because I didn't care much for the orange screen. I didn't feel that I needed a navigation computer, because I never get lost and I never ask directions (well, almost never) and I (almost) never turn back- not even in Europe. Now Eastern Europe, that's a different story. Street signs there would be a definate plus. Sure could use a nav computer there. Anyway, I find it a fascinating gadget, if not a little distracting. The best part about it is knowing exactly how many miles left (ARE WE THERE YET?) to the destination and approximate time. I must also say that I bought this car for my wife- it was not my 1st or even 2nd choice but now she keeps complaining that I never let her drive it. I tell her that I am still checking it out for bugs. It's been 2 months now, I wonder how much longer this ploy is going to work...
First of all the maxima was my ninth choice after a 1989 fiero.... AnD this One time when track through the Mountians of easter columbia I felt that a navigation system would have been of help there.... Oh God!!! just buy the journey package and enjoy tha navi It sooo much better to be able to see the other information on the screen such as various car controlls. Enjoy the thing lett it find strip clubs in your area for you.....
