2008 Max ?

Just seen this pic on Motortrend from Nissan. It maybe a peak at how the 2008 Max will look. Nissian released pics of 2004 on the net back in 2001 .

They just offered it in the US...it's been in Japan (a version of it) for at least 1996, IIRC...

Nissan Never released pictures of the 04 back in 01. It wasn't until about half a year ago that Nissan finally released a picture.

Yea, the Cedric/ Gloria has been around a while, but this current bodystyle (the one it shares with the M45) has been only around since 2000 IIRC. The current M45 is rumored to be due for a redesign soon since it's styling wasn't received well in the US.

If a nissan or infiniti came to the U.S. like that, I would by it in a heartbeat. It looks amazing to me. Kind of a "father of G35" look.

We had both as rentals when my carrier pulled into Japan in '96...it was slightly more boxy IIRC...and they were all blue. I liked them a lot...and I like the current M45 a lot. Great looking car.

If I had to guess: the 7th gen (2008?) Maxima will be an Altima - Max edition...

I want to say that might be most likely replacing the current I30 or the maxima version in infiniti

There is no current I30, and as already stated...it's the M45.

Quiksilver, Mybad I meant I35, since this chassie is still sitting on the 00--03 maxima chassie, I believe this will be baged under Infinitie.

Well, the I35 is done after the 2004 year. The '04 I35 still uses the A33 chasis and did not follow the path of the Altima/Maxima. The vehicle shown here will be the next Cedric/Gloria/M45...and a great looking one as well.

Hey how did u get info on the A33 chasis ,cause the I 35 and the maxima rides smooth similarly and except the I35 is much softer. and the obvious body canges in the bumper and the moldings. That's the only difference that i see.

If this is the new Maxima...count me in. Looks like a great evolution on the current model.

Sure!

It's the 2005 Infiniti M45

The Fuga show car on the Nissan stand at the Tokyo Motor Show will be the new Infiniti M45, sources confirm

The elegantly designed Nissan Fuga is a hint of the next-generation Infiniti M45 luxury sedan, scheduled to debut in the United States next year. It uses what Nissan calls its FM package and FR-L platform found in its rear-wheel-drive cars.

Looks sweet, but all I can say is that we still have 4 more years to see what the '08 Max will really look like. Who knows, that design could change at any time, and not to pick any bones here, but I think we're jumping the gun on this topic

IMHO, it's a huge improvement over the existing M45, but it needs to lose the cowcatcher under the front bumper and the hokey little chromey thingies running down across the trunk to the taillights. And it looks so much like the G35, you have to wonder what they're gonna do with it!

Agreed. The chrome lines running from the roof down seem to be the new styling trend with Nissan, an evolution from the 2004 Maxima...but I think these go a little to far.

I doubt the "cow catcher" will make it to production.

As for the G35 looks, they are trying to keep a family appearance with their cars. Expect the next Q45 to build on this as well.

Not a bad thing at all, IMO. Definitely not a bad thing.
