Question for the non-nav owners

How is the view of the screen during the day? Is it a strain to see when the sun is out or is it as clear as if you had the nav. also i see there is a day/night button for the screen. what does that do? Because i know on the nav one, if u put your headlights on auto it will automatically change the screen so it is easy on the eyes.

The Day/Night button that you are talking about allows you to change the display brightness from 1 to 10, 10 being the most bright. I have a non-nav and I leave it at 10 during the day and the display is pretty good for daytime use. There has been one instance where it was hard to see the display, but that was only once during the 2 months. At night, if the display is at 10 it really does stand out and distract. I normally leave it at 5 it works well for me. It is nice to have the ability to change the display. And as on the Nav, the display changes with the auto headlights.

Same here for me. 10 for day, and it adjusts accordingly at night with the lights. I have only noticed once a a very sunny day here in California where I could barely see it (had the sunroom open). But I think it was a rare situation just because of where the sun was beaming through the sunroom.

99% of the time, I can see it just fine.

I haven't had any issues with it, and I live in Arizona where it is bright and sunny almost every day. I do have it on the brightest setting.

Dust is the only thing that makes it harder to read, but that is easy to remedy
