bra - how much, where to get it

I'm going to be driving a long trip (2400 miles) soon and want to get a bra for the front to protect it. How much are they and where can I get one?

Thanks. . .Jim C

Jim C. I purchased a Colgan Carbon Fiber Bra from BestDarnParts.com. Price was around $110 free shipping.

I have used 2 different companies. One is Xpel (www.xpel.com) and the other is Chip Guard (www.chipguard.com). They both offer the 3M invisible bra material. I love it. I am on my 4th car with the kit and you barely see it unless you stare. It is pricey, usually $400-$600 installed. The material is the most expensive part. My last Maxima (2000 SE) had 110,000 miles, mostly highway and the front looked brand new.

each to their own....but I would never put a reg bra on a car....it will eventually do more harm than good......the cure is worse than the problem.......IMHO clear bra is the solution

Cheap auction on the OEM Nissan bra. Certainly worth the $30 as long as nobody else bids it up.

So how would a regular bra do more harm? I just bought one for my wife's '01 Pathfinder and I really don't want to keep putting it on, taking it off, and so on... Tell me what your experience is...

Well if you leave it on there all the time you get dirt in behind it. The bra moves a small amount in the wind. Combine that movement with the grit and it equals sandpaper.

The bra shouldn't be used in rain. Just for nice weather. Take it off and clean the backside frequently. Thats all you have to do. I only leave mine on for road trips. Around town it's pretty much useless. Its not a big deal to take it off and on.

In the long term, using the bra constantly may result in uneven paint fade.
