cleaning carpet mats
I have black interior and I know from experience that black floor mats have a tendency to fade quickly from being washed and steped on all the time. So I went to WalMart and bought a set of the nice thick black rubber floor mats and layed them on top of my factory floor mats. It's really saved me a lot of time and aggrivation.

I'm proud to say that I've got 7300 miles on my car and the matts still look like showroom quality. The black rubber mats are awesome. I don't have any on the back floor mats but I very seldom have passengers in the back. BTW, I also bought some leather conditioner from a detail shop that is awesome. It makes the leather shine like crazy (almost too much sometimes) and it smells just like a new car every time I use it. I'll check on the name and let you guys know what it is, I don't think you can buy it at any store though.
I am having my drivers mat replaced because the ring that holds it to the post on the floor broke off. I would have yours replaced if you have the heel hole, that shouldn't wear so fast. I am sure the dealer will replace them no problem, they did with mine

Yes I agree, I always place clear plastic mats over the factory mats to preserve the carpeted floor mats.........
