Finally did it! and a question
I bought a Liquid Silver '04 SL with sunroof, mats, splash guards, driver's preferred, tint, pinstripes. Paid invoice.
I test drove an I35 and the SL, and the max won hands down. Better ride, more responsive, more room, fresher styling. Very sweet!
It has none of the problems I've read about here. No shimmy, no misalignments, no visible problems at all. I haven't cranked the stereo to high volume yet though to test the package shelf issue.
Now for the question since I can't search, and I can't donate. They won't let me send them money!?
What is the best tire rotation interval? I have it set for 5,000 right now.

It's up to you, but I personally keep 'em where they are, and when the fronts are gone, I always have more than half the tread left on the rears That way I usually buy only 2 tires at a time. On 3-year lease (or finance) deals, I usually buy only 2 tires total, instead of the 4 I'd otherwise have to buy at the end to meet lease minimums.

Thanks guys. I must have sent my snippy reply just before your answer showed up.
I've read the rotate vs no rotate threads, and in the past I've attempted to rotate on a schedule, but always end up replacing 2 tires. It IS cheaper that way.
As long as I could put the same or similar tires on it, I wouldn't have a problem with that. What I would be concerned about is having 2 different adhesion tires on the car. I don't know how the Contis compare to Michelin, but that's probably what I'll put on when the time comes.
Thanks again. I'm hoping to be more active since I now officially own a Max.

Damn. I never thought of it that way. Thats a great idea you have there. I may have to try it. This is my first lease and I never would have thought of it that way myself.
