Wow, it looks really good on the Altima, but doubt on the Maxima. If you look at the center part of the grille, it looks simliar to the Maxima bucktooth grille. Maybe in third year of the maxima will get their facelift grille....who knows.

I think the grille is a real improvement, and I'd like to see it on the Max.

With all due respect to the Altima people out there, I personally think the taillights are the weakest part of the Alti's styling. They're ... well, just too dang big. They dominate the rear view, and they're not a particularly attractive shape. And, Nissan ... lose the spoiler - it screams 90's.

(Just my own very humble opinion, of course, and probably contrary to that of most other humans. )

I think it still looks ugly. I like the 6th gen maxima grill better. The 2005 Altima grill looks cheap.

I totally agree. I think the picture is deceiving and the grill looks like cheap black molded plastic.

Those are not GLE fifth gen maxima wheels, the fifth gen Gle had seven spoke 17 inchers.

The grill to me resemble the g35 grill slightly. I can see some G35 design in the grill. I like

Since when is a grill made of anything other than plastic, only on late 70's and 80's cars did they use metal grills.

Per another thread on this 6th gen board, the interior of the '05 Altima is tremendously improved.

I am excited by the '05 Altima grille. After hearing that Nissan was going to bring all Nissan products 'into line' with similar recognizable grill characteristics, it now appears the unhappiness with the '04 Maxima grille has reached Smyrna. The major rework of the Altima did NOT give it a grille like the Sentra or Maxima or Murano.

Normally, changes between the first and second year of any generation are usually limited to trimwork around the front and rear, with the grille usually being altered. It is possible the '05 Maxima may have the split removed from the grille.

We shall know within a few months. . . .

Does anyone know of any other grilles on the market for the 04 Max, other than the one designed by Trenz?
