Lowest price I could find! I was also curious to if it fits the auto . I have SL auto and was gonna wait until and auto actually did the install before I purchased.

Looks like a great price for sure!

I called and they only ship UPS. Too bad for us Canucks since UPS charges extortionary rates for their brokerage/handling fees.

Call Injen they can tell you if it fits auto. I think thats what someone did and the reason it says manual on it is because they only dynoed it on a manual but will fit an auto.

E mailed Injen Company and asked if 2004 Maxima SE with 5 speed automatic can use the RD1945 Injen Cold intake. Here is a reply from the Injen Company: "We just test fit that and it is the same application for both".

Anyone get it yet how does it sound? Is it real loud? Can a bypass valve fit with this CAI?

I have had the injen installed on my car and I have no regrets. Ive driven in rain with it without problems and I dont think a bypass valve is needed. A new 1/4 track is opening up sunday and its not an hour away like the other one! im excited, maybe get some 14.2s or better. Doubt it though...we'll see.

Looks too me that they want 252.00 for the intake. Not that great of a price when you have to pay shipping also.

Before when I added it to the shopping cart the price was changed down to $202.22

You're right its now $252 or something.

They've changed the discount from around 25% off, to only 10% off now.

I called Injen (after I had already ordered the CAI) and they said it should fit an automatic. I have had the new intake on my car for a couple of weeks now, and it works great. It's seems to be a quality product and the install was easy.

As for the sound, not noticeable at idle or cruizing speed. After 3 grand the noise starts to build until you get to 5 grand, then it turns into this awesome stacato rapping sound until the trans shifts to the next gear.

Installation Tip: The instructions said to take the bumper off, but that looked like a pain, so I took off the left front wheel and took out a couple of screws and rivets that hold the plastic inner fender well in place. You can pull it aside to get plenty of access to remove the lower airbox and install the air filter.

Next mod: underdrive pulley (on order)
