got pulled over taday while in the MAX

live in GA and going from Cobb to Fulton County on I75 and the speed limit was 55mph, i got pulled over for going 142mph, got yanked out the car and put in cuffs and thrown in the back of the state patrol car for going that fast, just got home from spending 7pm to 4 am in the Atlanta Jail, bond was $1554.00 and i got 3 tickets, the first for speeding, 2nd for wreckless driving, and the 3rd failure to stay in lane. i always drive this fast but its the first time i got cought and i was expecting a ticket, but just letting know you all who drive fast just take it slow, i certainly learned my lesson, and i still have to pay the ticket fines it f+++in sux man

Good lord you got what you deserved basically. You should know, at those speeds, your lucky you didnt blow a tire and fly off the highway. Take it easy on the highways.

Hmm...I've only had mine to 130 so far but it wasn't an extremely comfortable 130. I'm sure alot is due to being completely stock, but it kinda felt like it was all over. Hit a dip in the road and it was bouncy forever. Guess a good term would be "not well planted". Good thing I guess that I don't do it much.

At that speed you should of toasted the cop and should've had a get away. I haven't gotten mine faster than 140 because I thought it's governed at 140mph? So who's lying, you or the cop?

don't put those who drive fast in the same category as those who drive with no regard for themselves or others. what it God's name possessed you to drive nearly 100 mph over the speed limit? and don't try and justify your actions. sorry for the rant.

What a moron you are....won't mommy and daddy pay for the tickets? They should take your license away until you're old enough, or have enough common sense to comprehend the impact you can have on your life, and other, completely innocent peoples lives when you 'always drive that fast (142mph)'.

P.S. If you have any friends, I hope they beat the crap out of you for putting that silly yellow junk on the side of a perfectly good automobile.

I got mine up to around 148, and it was rock solid on the freeway. It was almost the same as doing 100 except it seemed like all the cars I was passing were just standing still

Mr. Sparkle and ddj2001- you guys deserve respect for driving that fast. All these wangsta @ss org members bashing for excessive speeds. They don't know sh*t. Cause they drive like my grandma, is no need to bash the real men. What's the point of having such a high odometer if you can't test it out. It's there for a reason people.

oh my lord

BTW, the speedometer will often be a bit "fast" at ridiculous speeds like this, so even if it says 148, you might only be going a bit less than that. GPS/NAV is a good way to tell for sure. I've read that Alty speedos read fast as well (there was some sort of a TSB for this early on in 02) so who knows.

As for the limiter, I think the SE is set for 140, and the SL 138 or something. But that's probably set for about mid-way through the tire's treadlife. When the tires are fresh you an actually get a few more ticks out since your'e travelling a slightly greater distance per tire revolution.

i wonder if you'd be saying the same thing if someone killed you loved one on the road because he/she were driving 100+mph....speed limit is set for a reason.....

no accident, no fatality, you know when it's tolerable. Maxedoutofcash, I design roads for a living so I need to test them out in one form or another. I perfer the foot to the floor method.

Wow, the ignorance.

One little cut tire at those speeds and instead of pulling over and just changing a flat tire and going on your merry way at "normal speeds", the paramedics will instead be scraping your dead carcass off of the pavement with a blow out at 140. If he really does value his life so little and doesn't mind playing with his life then I really do feel sorry for him. He got exactly what he deserved. A night in jail!

BTW, it's a speedometer.

if they weren't then nobody would be going that fast and since there are numerous people that drive that fast, you come to you're own conclusion.

Don't hate cause you can't appreciate.
