Ordering Options Question

Hey Guys,
Quick question. Is it possible to get the LSD and the Elite package? Nissans web site will not allow this combo. I can't see why having the HLSD would not allow you to get this package. I am guessing that most people getting the 6-speed would want the LSD.
Also, Does anyone have pics of the Burnt Ornage interior. Just wondering what color the floor capret is and the trim around the doors. Thanks.

Yes you can get the HLSD (6-speed) with ANY option package, don't know why the build it site does what it does.

Thanks VQ35DE

Does the HLSD help elliminate some of the torque steer that is more present in the 6-speed? Just remembering some of my physics makes me think that it will not since both front tires spin the same way the torque force is all in the same direction.

The good news is you could get it with any option package, BUT, the BAD news is , as of 02-06-04 the HLSD is no longer a option. They made the TCS a stand alone option for all AUTOS and MAN trans ( a $300 option) while still offering the VDC as a $900 auto (SE & SL) option. This along with the 5-sp auto for SL's ,are just part of the MANY mid-year packaging changes for the MAX. If you want HLSD, I am 99% sure you will have to find one already built and in dealer inventory.

I concur. My dealer has been trying to order a HLSD for me every month since August, and the factory has kicked out the order every time. I contacted NNA for help and they claimed there was a supply problem. Seems fishy since HLSD is standard on every 6-speed made for Canada.

I would suspect you will have a problem finding one with HLSD in inventory anywhere. I think I'm going to wait for the '05's.

Yeah, I will most likely wait for 2005 as well. Why can't we get Traction Control with a 6-speed? My BMW has DSC (Traction Control) with a 6 speed...

I hope they bring the LSD back for 2005 (or maybe that rumored AWD system

You CAN get the TCS with the 6-speed now, but you can't get the VDC with the 6-speed.

Yes I am aware of these sheets, but it's wrong. The lattest 2004 Maxima Brochure (12/03 revision) DOES NOT LIST one word about the HLSD now. Also the most recent updated Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds .com DO NOT list the HLSD as being offered anymore. I am afraid it is a sad fact, no more HLSD.

I know that, but did you notice the stand alone option TCS (auto & man) and the nav package alone are not listed either. The build - it site just is not totally up to date with the option packaging changes that started on 02/06/04.
