knocking noise from right front

anyone experiencing a knocking noise from the front of the car. Personally i hear it from the right front tire, possibly thinking maybe a ball joint or control arm. I have to make an appointment but i was just wondering if anyone else experienced the problem.

But he's not bitter.

I've seen people picketing dealerships before. I don't know if it would help but...

I've had a knocking noise from day one. Of course Nissan can't figure out the problem. It sounds almost like a valve tapping or a really loud fuel injector pulse. I only happens at about 1800 RPM. This is very annoying and I hate it but without anyone able to verify the problem, I can't fix it.

I (and also others) have had an engine rattle at around 2K RPMs.. turns out it was a loose heat shield. When you take your car in, this should be easy to replicate if it always happens at around 2K RPM.

Unfortunately, I also hear this knocking (especially when turning the car first thing in the morning, but it is starting to happen more often...), although I can't tell which side it is from (both perhaps?). Could this be a CV joint issue?

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I'm starting to have the same problem, and so far my dealer hasn't been able to recreate it...

I had a knocking noise in the front of my Altima on both sides a month apart and Nissan ended up changing my right lower control arm and bushing and also my left bushing. BTW the bolt on my right lower control arm broke off and this was at 1400 miles. . . That could be your problem. .

I posted about this problem a while back. My '04 emits a knocking sound from the front right suspension when going over bumps, especially uneven bumps.

I could find nothing loose underneath. I'm taking it in on the 22nd. I'll let you know what happens.

I too seem to have a kocking noise from the right front on my max. I thought I was being overly paraniod because my 02 Altima had a similiar problem in the back... which Nissan fixed. I think there was even a service bulletin released for the Altima. Otherwise, I love my max.
