I think it's tape. Why don't you like it? I think it's nice. Maybe you should put on the M3 lip spoiler.

it is a functional spoiler. It does reduce drag believe it or not. Atleast Nissan claims it does.

I drilled 4 holes not just two and the spoiler came with two sided tape. It is not hard to remove the spoiler, but you will have to patch the holes and repaint your trunk.

Keep it on. It's ugly without it. It';s nice and not too showy.

Just wrap a rope around your spoiler, tie it to a tree...and practice your 0-60 time

Sorry I just couldn't resist

tko507 is right. In addition to the two-sided tape, there are four holes underneath the spoiler.

Unless your new spoiler will cover the holes, things could get sticky, as most good paint shops will insist on repainting the entire trunk lid (if not even more) after you have filled in the four holes. They will want to put on more than one coat, and will not want any wax put over the new paint for several months (my shop says three months).

But then some folks are willing to make any sacrafice to have exactly what they want . . .

As tko507 stated above, the spoiler is bolted on. I had my aftermarket spoiler put on right in front of me and they had to drill 2 holes on each side of the trunk...

if you succeed in removing it, I'd be interested in helping you recuperate some of the cost of your next spoiler by buying your old one.
