I've got almost 13,000 miles on my SE, and I've noticed the struts are getting a little softer. I like that, since the ride was kinda steely when it was brand new. They're not going limp or anything, they just don't bang into potholes anymore. The handling is still sharp and crisp, and IMO the ride is now better than ever.

Anyone else notice this?

Mike, I think you must have bumped the SL switch when you were taking your dash apart to fix the dirty display screen.

Wow, if I'd known that, I'd have bumped it a long time ago. Seriously, though, the ride has improved ... my wife (the car expert) even commented on it. Maybe the intial stiction from the new seals and sliders has just worn off, but it is better!

I've got 14,000 on mine and it has had the same effect. My take on it is a little different though. I miss the hard ride. Very positive. My brother drives a Really hard riding Eagle Talon and he even noticed that my Max rode very firmly. He only has around 3 inches of shock travel on his little fire breathing monster.

I don't always equate a hard ride with a controlled ride but I'm afraid it will continue to deteriorate and become a Lincoln...ok, a lincoln with a lot of horses.
