Help...Can't decide on color

I'm all ready to buy my 04 max, but I can't make a decision on the color. It's between black and smoke. I'd like to see what each looks like with tinted windows. If anyone has some pics to post, that would really help. Any input would be cool too. thanks

Smoke for sure. It will be easier than black to keep clean and looking nice. It'll look just as good with tinted windows too. I'd be all over the smoke colour if I was buying a Maxima again.

I think if I had it to all over again I just might go for that rich red ... what is it called ... Red Opulence or something? And I'm not a "red guy" either.

Black ('onyx' on the Maxima) is always an impressive head-turner (I ALWAYS notice black Maximas), but has a somewhat sinister connotation with some folks. Many people buy navy (called 'majestic blue' on the Maxima) so as to have a beautiful, impressive and classy dark color with no sinister inference.

'Smoke' is a safe, fashionable and tasteful choice that will fit nicely into any setting. Additionally, it does not show dirt as badly as some colors (like black).

The 'red opulence' is not the 'fire engine' or 'candy apple' red frowned on by some (such as insurance companies). It is a very attractive shade; the first red I have ever been tempted to buy.

All the Maxima colors are well-chosen and attractive, but for those who live way down in the deep south, only light shades are practical. 'Liquid silver' was my choice, with 'spirited bronze' and 'winter frost' close behind. I also like the new 'sand dune' (came out in Feb '04) better than the 'champagne mist'.

If you got the time to hand wash it correctly then by all means go with black onyx. It's bad to the bone! If you are the type to use an automatic car wash then get the smoke. Somedays I wish I had gotten the smoke, but other days I love getting into that deep black ride.

Do the red

I just bought the red with black leather interior. Its awesome. Looks sporty enough but not too much to take away from the class. Nice color.

and another.

saw the smoke the other day...real sharp. and I agree, the red is awesome. I really would have considered it if I could have had the tan interior. but I love my winter frost!

White looks so pure. It really does look great but where I live it would be harder than black to keep clean. How do you get mud stains out?

Get smoke. I think that color matches everything. Is it called smoke or Gray Lustre?

Personally if I had it to do again I would opt for the Spirited Bronze with Orange leather - definately a GREAT combination and not one that you will see too often. I didn't get it as it was not a choice early on - probably won't find one on a lot so will have to order - better hurry - 9-10 week delivery. No matter what color you pick - enjoy the ride!

i would not get spirited bronze, didn't pay too much attention on color when i bought my max and now im regretting it. i think dark colors are really nice on max, but personally id get black/onyx because it looks really really nice on the max or almost any other car especially at night and has more of the imo it has more of the "showroom shine" than the smoke. i've heard black paint or any dark color will fade irregularly expecially nissan paint if you dont take care of it, but i think its worth it.

I disagree...Spirited Bronze is great on the Max.....remember color is YOUR choice.....get the color you like not what someone else likes...

I`m glad there is a variety of colours, I wouldn`t want everyone driving around with majestic blue.

Get whatever color makes you the happiest. For me, I went with the Onyx and wouldn't have it any other way. I get compliments on it daily. Here's a link to some pics of it. Good luck and enjoy your new ride!

BLACK BABY!!! If you're one that takes great pride in the care of your car, then owning BLACK is not a problem... What do you think of mine--tinted and all (35% front/5% rear)?

Hopes this helps!!!
