video systems...headrest/dropdowns

What is everyone installing in their cars? I took a look at the headrest and I would be able to fit a 6.5" widescreen in there, maybe even a 7".

I was also thinking about a dropdown (I have a sunroof BTW). It looks like I could fit a pretty big screen up there. I know a 15" will go up there but, that might be just too big for a car. I was thinking more like 10.4". Anyway, if anyone has pics, can you post them.

Thanks.

I got the Pioneer DVD Navigation with 7" touch screen LCD and a Pioneer DVD player when i got my Max. I put the screen right above the center console on the dash. It is the exact same silver as the console and whole interior so it looks stock. Its sweet. The only thing is that the speaker on the screen is not that loud so im getting the FM Modulator so the sound is connected to the speakers.

Darkhaze, could you post a pic of that screen and where you have it mounted. I was thinking of flush mounting that same screen into where the cassette player is. Of course, I will have to customize the console but, I think that it will give me a nice stock look.

I have Icon 6.5" headrest screens and I am pretty sure that they will fit. You would have to mount it closer to the bottom of the headrest but, they'll go in there. I will get my hands on a 7" tomorrow and see if that'll fit. If not, I'm installing the 6.5" (which are widescreen BTW) this week when I get some time.

Worse case scenario is that you would have to use 5.6" headrest screen. That's not too bad for size.

I'll keep you guys updated.

I dont know where you think you are getting a 7" inch in that headrest. I would look like crap. I think that you should try the 8" with headrest brackets. I also did a conversion so my nav plays dvd on teh screen.

Turns out that the 7" is too big. I will have to go with the 6.5" headrest screens. I should have it installed by the end of the weekend. I'll post some pics when I am done.

How did you manage that? Before i do that i need to find a way to take the display and swap in a nav display, Don't neccessarily need the nav system i just want the screen.
