rear strut or rear deck rattle

I know there are similar threads but hear me out.
I had the dealer listen to my problem tonight. Theres a knocking type nosie coming from what appears to be the passenger rear strut when going very slowly over bumps. its like a nock when I back onto bump i.e. speedbump, and the strut compresses a little then another knock when I back off it i.e. strut release. it sounds similar as knocking on wood. Now the dealer said it doesnt sound like the usual front strut issue and could be a deck rattle. But it doesnt sound like a rattle at all and how could the back deck rattle like a knocking noise from a bump??? A rattle is more than 2 knocks? I mean I banged my hand on the back deck and the rattle was a far different noise, i.ee like a speaker vibration making a rattle agaisnt metal, something i dont hear when driving.

They said they would need a weekday to really investigate, and cant do saturedays cause they need to contact nissan over the phone for assistance which is oonly available on weekdays. I really thought this sucked cause I dont want to pay for a rental and have them tearing apart my back seat when i know its got to be suspension. I told them I would think about it while I consult other dealers.

I feel like they are screwing me, this goes back to crappy nissan service. I cant believe they think they can solve this issue by phone with techs over the phone.

Any advice? Has anyhbody had the rear strut issue??? Why cant they just replace the struts, arent they getting paid by Nissan anyhow???

Take It To The Dealership And Tell Them To Put It On A Jack And Check The Rear Underside. There Might Be A Screw Missing On The Sway Bar. They Messed Up When Producing These Vehicles And Forgot To Place A Screw Near The Rear Tire That Joins The Bar To The Wheel.
