putting the blinker on and accidently turning headlights off.

This Already Has Happened 3x In A Month. I'm Driving At Nite And I Put The Blinker On Either A Right Turn Or Left, and Accidently I Turned My Headlights Off....it Seems That My Switch Is Too Soft And If I Do It The Wrong Way It Turns Causing My Lights To Turn Off. Has Anyone Had This Problem?

Use the Auto on/off feature and you won't have that problem.

This has happened to me once or twice. It also happened to my wife the 1st time she drove it at night. I got a call with the question why are the headlights off? We both figured out that you can inadvertantly move the headlights off of auto when changing the signals. Lately I report no problems. I must be getting used to the car.

I commend you for using your turn signals. Too many idiots ... err, I mean people ... don't.

But I haven't had the problem you're talking about.

I've done it as well, several times at that. Sometimes it becomes embarassing.

I'm glad somebody finally mentioned this.

It happened the first time I took the car out at night and scared the $HIT out of me until I realized why the lights went off. It still happens occasionally if I hit the lever the "wrong" way.

Nissan should have designed in more friction on the **** for the headlights.

I think that if enough people will complaint about this prblem nissan will do a recall due to safety reasons....again it happened to me today,I was driving at nite and rapidly I down shift to 3rd gear and put the signal light at the same time to switch lanes and I hit the signal light the wrong way and turned my lights off and didn't realize until someone hi-beamed me...this could be dangerous!!!

Yup

This happens to me all the time. Its started to get annoying. I frequently get high beamed by other motorist when my lights suddenly go out on busy streets.

I too have had the same problem and it has happened usually at a most inopportune time. I agree with the one reply that if you use the auto on/off
function this should not happen. I will try this for now and wait for the recall.
