I wish that color was out when I purchased my car, I would've definetly gotten that one.

Sweet looking color. Some preventative advice, put some 3M or 3M-like clear paint guard in FRONT of the rear wheel well area, at the point where it begins to flare. I have a black SE which I baby, but I noticed that that area gets chipped very easily as the miles begin to mount.

Your tires sure do shine. Be careful of tire stuff that contains petroleum products. They will cause the rubber and "black" color to break down and fade. The tires will become more and more dependant on the stuff just to look decent.

You will be better off with something that will give a nice sheen, but not break down the rubber. "303" protectant is that kind of product.

 

DAMN!!! That's one clean a$$ MAX you got there! Looks almost as good as mine!!! lol Nice color too! If I didn't already have black, your color would be my next choice... Keep up the good work!

 

Wow, that color looks hot! Looks like you're doing an excellent job of keeping it clean also. I have not actually seen this color in person and I wondered if it's pretty similar to the gray lustre of the previous gens? I love my gray, it just pics up the sunlight and really brings out the metallic in the paint. Does the Smoke color have alot of metallic in it also? Kinda "chunky" looking paint?




On second look, it kinda looks like the Smoke has a bit more brown/pewter to it? Or maybe it's just me?

Yes it does have alot of metallic in it.. No it doesn't look chunky.... at times when the sun hits it right it looks of another color..

 

YO i get most if not all my cleaning products from a local auto detail cleaning company.. Very well known in my area and after talking to the ppl of the store all there products are put thru the test website here SUPERIOR

 

YO YO... "Superior" looks like they're doing it right... No petroleum in the tire stuff.

Forgot to mention that INSTANT SHINE by the same company is just as good but less greasy..

I never knew this, what a helpful piece of advice. I've actually been nocticing my tires look kinda crummy lately, all kinda brown and dull looking. After checking out my tire shine, it did say "petroleum distillates" on the ingredients panel.
