Partial Sound System Upgrade in 04 Max
Partial Sound System Upgrade in 04 Max
Been lurking for a few months now researching how to install a carputer into my '04 Maxima with very little success.
My first goal is to install an auxiliary input (or do a full sound upgrade if that fails) which is quite difficult with the proprietary Nissan Bose Stereo. However, PAC has just updated their text on a brand new item called the AAI-NIS with "Support for Nissan: 2004 350Z, Maxima, Murano and Quest coming soon." This item allows two aux inputs to be added to the stereo through the satellite connector. I figure others on this site may be interested in this item has well. I will probably be getting one soon. My next goal will be to figure out where/how to mount the lcd touch screen. Too bad there seems to be no way to replace the factory screen and not lose all the information.

Satellite input question
Hey I have standard stereo and it has satellite button on dash. Are there standard RCA connections that I can connect a portable XM receiver such as the Delphi roady to or do I need the device mentioned in previous posts? Also, anyone removed the front center dash panel to get at the stereo innards? Difficult? Helps?
Thanks,
Phil
