help ..........

hey guys,
as u all know i got my 03 stolen and i bought an 04, today i went to a shop and had them put on a intake filter to the stock intake, i had a frankencar intake on my 03 and it sounded perfect, i figured it would sound the same because the franken car intake was just a midpipe and a filter, i got the car and was on hempstead trnpke and punched it, i heard it but not as loud as the 03 w/ the frankencar, i dont wanna go CAI only because i dont like the fact that it goes down to the ground but what do u guys think, i def want something louder.
is it because i have just a filter??, i always thought the filter is what made all the noise,
PLEASE HELP OUT HERE
thanks

Well there's several options for intakes for the maxima, including a Frankencar one. Also, Stillen has one I believe. Go to the sponsors page of this site and click on the links, you should be able to find several options.

As for CAI's, I was a virgin to them, always had the HAI's. I purchased the injen cai for my max. First off I can't stand the sound of ****ty exhausted cars. But I'm impressed with the sound, makes the car sound tuned ( almost like a stock 350z, well almost) at lower rpm's and then the monster comes when you punch it. And that sh*t is hidden up inside the bumper where it is also covered by plastic, so it would be really hard for water to get in.
