cleaning display screen?

Since my purchase of the maxima, I have only used a clean slightly damp microfiber towel to wipe dust off the screen. I have been extremely careful with this cleaning as I am afraid of making scratches on the screen. Can anyone recommend any products for cleaning/ protecting the screen?

I have used some special screen cleaner on my laptop computer and am wondering if a cleaner appropriate for a laptop screen would work on this dash screen? I have not been brave enough to try this yet.

One last thing. My wife saw some dust on the screen and actually touched the screen with her finger to wipe it off. I had a small fit(in jest).

Monster ScreenClean used with microfiber cleaning cloth worked great for me. The product was designed for TVs and video displays.

I assume you're talking about the outer screen as opposed to the actual screen that you need to take apart the dash to get to. I use Invisible Glass and microfiber towels for the plastic screen and all my glass and it works beautifully.

Thanks for the responses.

I have a supply of screen cleaner from this place for my laptop.

http://www.klearscreen.com/

I will give it a try. It looks quite similar to the Monster product. Please note the similar nomenclature iClean vs. iKlear. I wonder if they are the same manufacturer?

Edify11, Yes I mean the outer screen.

If the screen is starting to show some sratches, as it most likely will,
I have found that wiping it with baby oil works very good, by putting
some oil based moisture back into the plastic. Use a cotton ball as
the applicatior, and then more cotton ***** to wipe off the excess.
You will have to do this every few weeks as needed, but it makes the
screen look brand new.

I had my oil changed today...

My screen has some scratches, and now has fog behind it, you can see some finger prints...

I wanted to get this replaced today because it’s killing me. There was no Nissan Manager on, only a Toyota Manager. First off I went in, asked the Manager to not only change the oil but look at my screen, he said "we got to make an appointment etc..." I said please just look to see its damages so we dont have to waste each others time. Guy was a fool. Finally he said the tech would look at it. The Tech who changed my oil, tried cleaning my display after I told him nicely that he is A. wasting his time because it’s scratched and B. it’s got fog behind it. Finally he agreed and said he would tell his manager. After the oil change I asked the manager if he was ordering the part, he said that the tech told me wrong and that they cant order a nav unit for me etc.... it has to get looked at by the Nissan reps etc... I said, Pal, I need a plastic cover not a whole unit etc, Nissan pays you to fix the poor quality crap in my car, can you please order it. He then said oh oh sure, I thought you needed the whole thing not just the plastic cover. Finally we went to the parts department, and they looked up the replacement dash section with the cover, but had no pricing info etc and have to call Nissan Monday. He said he would call me Monday.

I said, "I will look forward to a call but don’t expect it because, A., you didn’t make not of this incident B. You’re a Toyota Rep C. How in the world are you going to remember a '04 max that needs a display screen on Monday Morning????" He said "I will remember"

I guarantee I will call Monday, nobody will know what’s going on, and I will have to schedule an appointment to have somebody look at it again.

This whole Nissan thing is a load a crap, DO NOT GO TO NORWOOD NISSAN RI; I am going to start going elsewhere.
