i'm really happy with it. very smooth shifting(barely noticeable)

if you had any problem with it(5spd AUTO transmission), what was the problem?

Harsh shifting (especially when cold), would "slap" around sometimes (shift, and then shift back real fast resulting in a "lurch" or loud "slap" sound).

I had the TSB applied for poor cold shifting and it helped, although sometimes it still "slaps" (just not as loud/hard). Also, still sometimes when I'm slowing down and then want to accelerate quickly again (like to pass a car that is stopped/turning/etc), the engine will rev and the car will start to take off, and then it will upshift (I think) pretty hard... this results in a lurch (happened this morning when slowing down for a light that turned green - I think I hit the gas again at about 10 MPH).

Has this been anyone else's experience? I know that when I took delivery of the car it was shifting poorly and so I checked and the transmission fluid levels were pretty low (would barely register on the stick, if at all). I then took it back to the dealer and they filled it up properly, which seemed to help somewhat.

It does however shift smoothly if I accelerate at a more or less constant rate.

Not really a problem as in a defect, but an issue -

I don't like the lurching downshift when going down a hill around 25-30mph. To get around it, I just slip the tranny into manual mode and choose my own gear...

I also get this in my car..It will jerk when you do a full stop after accellarating fast.. then will jerlk again when you step on the gas..the rpm goes high then the car jumps to speed.. I got service and check today..they said its because of the engine being so prowerful and all, then the 5 sp auto trans... I dont buy it.. the good thing is they recorded it on the to nissan and hopefully nissan will look into this problem...
easy solution, be gentle I guess...
