Ordered a Stillen Hi flow intake ..Questions...

Is there much noticable difference when you add one of these on the 3.5? I'm only looking to add a little hp and tq to a great package...Also, the main underdrive pully, do they get the hp and tq the manufactures claim Thanks

I installed mine a little while ago and I do notice a slight difference. I'm looking to get a Stillen exhaust (when it's available) and an underdrive plulley as well. All this together should be a considerable gain, but the intake alone is marginal. More so than the hp gain the sound is awesome.

You'll only feel a difference with the Injen.

"You'll only feel a difference with the Injen."

I don't think that's entirely true. My dyno came out higher with the Stillen than one of the guys on here with the Injen. Course I also have the Greddy exhaust Plus there have been two guys on here whose Injen welds busted loose in there 04 Max.

As far as power is concerned you might have more, but it is hardly noticable.
But once you step on the gas it will sound like you have 50 more horses.

Yeah, I agree. I just put on the stillen and the gain is noticible, but marginal.

Question for those who have the stillen, Did you guys leave the two black plastic pieces that attach over the grill in place? It doesn't seem to serve a purpose other than cosmetic appeal. Any particular reason to take it off or leave it on?

Also, with respect to the noise, I didn't seem much difference at all when the car was parked. I put it beside another SE with factory intake and the note sounded almost identical between the two. However, when I'm driving, particularly at high speeds, the throaty sound definitely kicks in. This what everyone else is seeing?

I did leave the two plastic pieces. I's supposed to channel the airflow into the K&N cone. Also, the sound at idle isn't noticeable. It only really kicks in around 3K RPMs or so.
