Who has the earliest Max?
Who has the earliest Max?
How about a bit of trivia?
Just curious to see who on the board here has one of the earliest 2004 Maximas. I believe they started coming off the assembly line January 21, 2003. Check the inside door label for its birthdate.
Anyone have a January make?

Best way to know for sure is by VIN serial (the last six digits of the VIN #). The first '04 Maxima had VIN serial # 800000. I saw one at my dealer a few days ago with a VIN serial # over 922000, which means they have assembled over 122 thousand so far.

2003 January --Launched 2004 Nissan Maxima sedan, the brand’s flagship vehicle
yes, first USA built Maxima (vin 800000) in red rolled off the assembly on Jan 21, 2003
** USA built Maxima went on sale at Nissan dealers in March 2003 **
Nissan planned to built 80,000 units in 2003 at a rate of approx. 6,666 per month. Close to the end of June 2004, the numbers are aligned.

my build date is Aug 2003 and delivered/picked up in mid-August 2003 (waited 9 weeks in the process to my exact specifications). All of my new cars ordered direct from the factory. The only problem was the "glazed" rotors that needed to turn by Nissan service under warranty. Car was not driven aggressively for the "glazed" rotors.

bosjoe - Yours is the earliest I have seen. I would guess that VIN was assembled around Valentine's Day of 2003.
The last radiant ember rolled off the line around the end of August, and by September, word of the demise of radiant ember was spreading, and it suddenly became a 'most wanted' color.

Hey Bosjoe how's beantown treating your Max? I went to school there a couple of years ago, and the roads were bad. Potholes everywhere. Just wondering if the Max is holding up to that kinda beating.

But still bought it in October.. Go figure. They were hiding it for me.

Never first. I only have had the Deck done and the Grill replace from the peeling of the tooth. Looking to get a new Billet Grill.TurboFatCrab. The roads are always like that. Thank god I do mostly Highway driving. and I stay out of Boston. The Big dig was a pain in the a$$.
