New '04SE - First time posting

Just move from a '97GLE to '04SE. Added DPP+VDC.
My '97 had 97Kmiles and still solid&smooth, gave it to my nephew. Only needed to change the alternator ($149) @86Kmiles, everything else is still good. I think it can go another 100Kmiles no doubt.
I've been waiting for this new '04 for the last 3 years. Finally got it last week. It's a so much better than my '97, but I love them both.
I have no issues mentioned around this forum. The car is perfect.
My wife&kids even myself hated the looks in the pictures. Surprisingly we all love the Max now. They even asked me not to swap in the Trenz grill. But we all like the new grill much more.
My wife is enjoying her '99Pathfinder (no *****, but looks cute). I moved from Toyota to Honda and finally stay with Nissan now. My old Max is the most reliable car I've owned, not counting the fun factor. My Pathfinder should best that (no, not in the fun department).
One question: I see some grease splattered on the sidewall near the oil-filter, on the aluminum susp. piece below it and there is a rings of grease near the filter's base. Never seen huge/extra grease laying around in a new car before (maybe never look). Hope there is none getting onto the drive-belts. Is it just mine ??? Nothing leaking.
By the way, MSRP=32,470 Out-the-door=30,900 from Costa Mesa Connell Nissan. No hackling, 5minute internet/phone purchase. Color=Smoke+Frost.

Excessive grease

Anyone has some spare time to check under-the-hood ? In the oil-filter area, I got spots of grease on the opposite sidewall+on the aluminum arm under it+there is a thick ring of grease around the base (engine-side) where the filter mate (not where they make contact, but 1/4" away from the filter). The grease patterns looks like grease was applied to something spinning around and splattered the grease.
I hate to make a trip to the dealer while the car is running perfectly. Nothing leaking as far as I can see, after jacking up the car for a closer look. You can check just by raising the hood and check on the passenger'side where the oil-filter located.
Thanks.
