Power folding mirrors ?

Do your mirrors fold at the same time or do the work independently? ie like to adj the mirrors, you choose driver or passager.

Mine fold at the same time.....I really thought the car I test drove you could contol which side you wanted to fold.

Sorry, 95max - The mirrors are adjusted separately, but can only be folded together.

Mine fold together. No option for them to fold seperately.

Folding is specifically to keep you from knocking them off during a touchful car wash, and in tight squeezes. It is not meant to adjust your mirrors for different views. So there is no real point to it folding them seperately. However if you want you can use your hand and push/pull them individually. Just don't do it while it is using the folding motors.

But be careful. According to the owner's manual, folding/unfolding Maxima mirrors that have the power folding option by hand can damage the system.

I first posted on this thread about 11 hours ago (can't tell exactly, as site clock has been wrong since winter), and I have racked my brain several times during those hours trying to think of what situation could possibly necessitate that one mirror not fold. Can't think of a single one.

Why not just let 'em operate the way they were designed?

Ok everyone......Just thought that the demo car they folded seperatly.

Why would anyone think that they would/could use the fold to adj them. They are either in or out.

As for a reason.....in my garage you have to walk by the drivers side of my Z to get in the house. So I keep the drivers side mirror folded when in the garage. There is a wall on the passager side so no way to hit the mirror....so why fold it?
