Uh oh, major problem with the Max!

Drove my Max from Texas to Maryland last weekend. I've been here all week. DC/MD roads are horrible in the city. All of a sudden when I go over a bump I'm hearing this thumping sound in the right front corner of the car. I pull up into my garage and press down on the corner and there's a noise. The sound seems to be getting worse with every bump. I'm taking it to a Nissan dealer first thing this morning 7/1. Wish me luck.

It's not just a sound, there's a feeling like something is jiggling loose at the front corner near the suspension. I feeling the thumping through the floor. Very bad.

You need a new strut. I hope they have it for you a lot of people aren't lucky and they have to wait. I had that problem like 3 weeks after buying this car. Still love it though.

Well, it looks like you guys were right, I need a new right front strut. Unfortunately the dealership I took it to didn't have the part. I will probably have to ride all the way back to Texas with the bad stut. The strut still has a good charge, the car rebounds fine, the noise is just nerve racking.

Does anyone see a problem putting another 1400 miles on this bad strut?
