Navigation Options

All 6th gen maxima owners with navigation. Is there a way to view the entire screen as the map with out the black across the bottom from IE- Radio or Climate info. when both of these items are off?

Also. is there a fix for the cloudy spots behind the screen?

As far as I know there is no way to expand the navigation view.

I haven't had the cloudy problems, but most people just bring it back to their dealers and they replace it.

If you move the joystick, it'll be full screen but the navigation won't be moving. Its just for you to look around.

True - if you move the joystick while in a view, the view will expand to full screen. The > that represents your current location will update as you drive, but if you drive off the current screen, the map will not update, and the system will continue to update your position relative to a map the you cannot see unless you move the joystick in the direction that you are traveling, or hit the previous button in which the screen will go back to normal view and update on it's own. I basically only use "birdseye" view, and have not tried it in standard map view, but I assume it works the same in both.

As for the cloudiness, take it to the dealer and have them do the TSB which includes a new pad around the screen behind the plastic screen, cleaning both sides of the view window, and putting the system back together...

Good luck.
