Dealer replaced rotors
Walkley Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) Service Department turn out to be good guys !
This is what they've done for me so far:
A couple of weeks ago:
1. Performed the 5 speed auto TSB
2. Replaced my DRLs (mandatory driving lights - Canadians check your DRLs. I see a lot of Maxes with burnt DRLs up here. Apparently they were defective from the factory. The dealer will replace them for free)
3. Replaced rear dome light that was out
Today:
4. They replaced my front rotors. I had a slight pulsation when i applied the brakes.
5. Replaced my shifter **** with a new one. it had slipped off and kept coming off after i had re-installed it. The pin was broekn or something like that.
6. Replaced my console lid. it was hard to close.
So pretty well everything that wasn't right with my car has been repaired. And they did it with a smile on their face !

if i wanna get TSB performed at the nissan dealer, do I just go there
and ask them to perform TSB? Do they actually know what to do?
or should I print out the TSB documents and show them?
one more question, should I even care about the TSB announced
before my car was built?
my car was built in Dec,2003 and I bought it Jan,2004. then I shouldn't
be concerned about TSB announced before Dec, 2003 right?

They only turned mine as well. I had 11k on the car.
I actually called Nissan and got them involved. They told me that they have to turn them the first time. If it happens again in the next 12k miles, they would replace them.
Which I think is standard procedure with this issue on the part of Nissan.

I was skeptical after they turned my rotors that they will actually warranty for an additional 12k miles.
I had my dealer put it in writing. So, at this point, I couldn't care less what Nissans official line is on it.

I'm at about 8k miles, and I feel a very slight vibration when I'm braking from a high speed. Is that caused by a rotor coming to the point of needing to be turned? It's probably in my head and I'm only noticing it after reading these threads ![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
How many miles *should* it be before having to turn the rotors? replace them?
