New Shoes for the Max

Ok, time to start thinking about new shoes for the baby. I've kinda narrowed it down to 2 choices. I know how some of you all feel about chrome, but oh well. Tell me what you think. I know, the propeller is a bit "flashy" but for some reaon it's strangely appealing; like the Max is gonna suddenly take off.

This is the ADR Emotion

and this is the Dolce DC-2

If anyone has some free time and cares to Photoshop them onto an Onyx 6th Gen, I'd be much obliged.

I am not a huge fan of the chrome but the adr's look pretty sweet. I prefer simple and not too busy on the Max's.

Go with the ADR's - open is better (and easier to keep clean) - dirty chrome is YUK!

I like the adrs.

I can see why some folks might prefer the DC-2s, but I like the OEMs better than the DC-2s. The '04 Maxima is supposed to be near luxury, not near 'airborne'.

I can only imagine how they look in motion. That was the first thing I thought about when I saw them - how good they would look at 5mph. 'Cause you know when you're profiling, you're moving painfully slow. LOL!

Thanks for all your input. If someone has the time, it'd be nice to see both sets on a Black 6th Gen. Onyx, excuse me. What was I thinking? I'm starting to lean towards the ADR's. The input about being easier to clean was great. I never thought about that. But I imagine, it'll be easier to get brake dust deposits too considering the open spoke design of the OEM SE rims and the build up I get after a couple of days.

I would go with the ADRs the other ones look like a flower. But rims I really like are the OZ racing Operas. My friend has them on his Lexus GS430 and they are ****ing hot. That cars is bulky like the Maxima also so it would probably look the same. http://www.ozracing.com/shared/car/prestige/06_big.jpg

I personally prefer a wheel with a deeper lip on them, but I had ADR's and I wouldn't recommend them. My original wheel (M-Classic, Car Domain page 4) chipped soooo easy and the clear coating on the lip was coming off after 2 months. ADR's customer service is horrible and when I went to replace them they had stopped making them so I waited for over 2 months for the replacement wheel that I wanted (ADR Sterling) I kept getting "2 more weeks"
So I ended up going chrome (non ADR), and they ave grown on me for sure.
The thing that sucks though is ADR has a lot of nice wheels available but like someone on this site told me back then "you get what you pay for!!"
Anyways, I'm done venting now....

That's exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks for this post. That will now become a major determining factor in my decision. How long ago was this? I can only hope to have Montana Max(MontyMax for short) looking as sweet as yours.
