Rattle behind glove box

I hear a loud thump coming from behind the glove box whenever I stop quickly or accelerate quickly. It sounds like something is loose and is moving back and forth when the momentum of the car changes. How can I check behind the glove box? I bought the car last March when they first came out and this is the first "problem" I had.

vince - there will be help arriving on this issue as soon as folks realize the site is back up. Several posters here have had their glove box out.

One of the fixes for the misaligned glove box door requires removing the glove box, and instructions for that are posted here somewhere.

I believe replacing the cabin microfilter also requires removing the glovebox, and that process should be in the owner's manual that came with the car.

Hang on; help is on the way.

I found that after driving the car now for three weeks (yay! three weeks old!) that there are noises when on rough road/pavement:

-Driving solo, the passenger seat belt rattles against the pillar/airbag. Lowering the adjusterbelt-mount solves this. However the heavy seatbelt connector will twist (side2side) and tap the pillar.
-watching the passenger seat, it vibrates to the point of annoying. I found this when seat is reclined some from last passenger.
-glove box made horrible rattle. Dealer left the lug nuts from the locking set! (duh!). Still subtle rattle after removing the locking tire nut package. I bet the TSB Glove box fix will take care of this (I have the misaligned glove box).

Other than that, this car is FAST! I see a radar detector in my future (hopefully before any tickets).

This car is sooo much better than my 2001.5(2002) Passat 1.8T was. Nissan has room for improvement, but for now...I am pleased with the purchase.
